Another finished diamond painting !

So, here it is! I’ve yet to frame him, but he is finished. I did him in about two weeks, and this was an absolute pleasure! I got him from . I’m hoping to give this to my friend today 🙂

I have 3 more to do, a little snack size one, and a tiny square one (that may or may not be any good, we shall see! ) and one that I got from the same company as the wolf (of sparrows in a tree) and one that hasn’t arrived yet!

Have a great day! If you diamond paint and have a blog, do put your blog in the comments, thanks!

What’s a flower frog?

Flower Frog

So, I’ve wanted one of these since I saw This Video by Ali Brown.

These apparently were once used by florists, known as frogs, because they spent much of their time in water, however they’re now highly collectible and cone in a myriad of different shapes and sizes, along with different themes.

They’ve since been replaced by something called Oasis, that you wet and pop your flower arrangement in:

I wanted one for my Diamond Painting Pens. I am really irritated by them rolling off my desk, so now they won’t, plus I have an item I find aesthetically pleasing.

Mine came from a charity shop and cost £4:00.

With pens in.

So, do you have one of these? Do you collect them? Or use them?

The latest Diamond Painting

I’ve started another painting. This is another wolf for another friend. I’m much happier with this kit, the colours are better, it’s more detailed and it was cheaper! I got it from Lansuer on

Here’s the progress so far:

I think you’ll agree that this kit is way better than the other wolf I did. I’m really pleased with this, it’s very addictive and therapeutic, I highly recommend it. I wish I had discovered this in the beginning of lockdown, but never mind:)

Have you done a diamond painting?

A trip down memory lane via a book

Today, I watched a video on YouTube by Kari Gibson, and she’s altering the book “Heidi” by Johanna Spyri, and it’s being posted to her friends so they can do a page or two, too. I love this idea, and I’d love to do it myself (just not with this book).

Now, I couldn’t alter that book, as it has such deep and comforting memories for me. My mum had these books from her childhood and let me read them. I read this when I was young. I was taken away to the mountains, to clean air, goats and yodelling (to this day, I love to hear yodelling!) and it took me out of the life I was in.

When I read this book, I was in another world. A world of life, energy and nature. A different life from the one I was in. It made me happy.

Years later, I found the set of books in a charity shop, and bought them, remembering all the joy I experienced when reading this as a child. Oddly, it didn’t have the same effect as it did back then. Though the story is still charming, the characters familiar, yet the joy was missing. Maybe Because I no longer wish to actually be in the mountains? Perhaps I no longer need that escape?

I still treasure the feelings that I got from that book though, and the warmth it gave me when I needed it. however, curiously, I have been left with a love of art because I was so taken with the illustrations.

A week of change/Life Audit

I took this week off, in fact, I’m on a sabbatical for the whole month. No getting up at the crack of dawn, no running around and not much internet stuff at all (apart from YouTube videos!).

While I’ve been off, I’ve attended some appointments and done things to make my life a little easier when I go back to work. Sometimes you just have to step back and see what is working and what isn’t.

I have developed a hearing issue and that’s altered my job. Fortunately for me, I’m self employed, and so I can tweak my offerings accordingly. Again, reframing what you can do, against what you can’t.

Course correction, or reframing your life can be one of liberation or re alignment. Either way, I think it’s a good idea to take a step back and audit your life to see what you can change (or not). Those things you cannot change, you can change your thinking on, thus making things easier for yourself.

It’s been an interesting week, the next thing to tackle is my website. Now, that’s going to be a challenge in itself! While doing the blog along it became apparent that some elements of my website weren’t working, so, another thing to audit. 😜

Wish me luck, lol

Bank Holiday Sunday 🌴

Since the start of lockdown I’ve not really noticed a Bank Holiday, because all the days felt like Sundays.

In fact, I had to put in some boundaries so that I didn’t land up working weekends.

So, back to bank holidays : until today I haven’t noticed them, but today we went out! I actually had a MacDonalds Breakfast Muffin! It happens twice a year and today was the first one. We took our meal and sat by the sea in our car.

I can see why people are healed by being near the sea. Personally, I find being near trees and grass is better but we live by the sea 🙂

So, cue some pictures and a feeling of relaxing, something I am truly not used to these days!

The town in the distance.

Do you find sea or greenery more relaxing?
