Day 22 – A New Life Mantra

I read this in one of Effy’s blog posts, and it really made an impression on me.

“F*ck that noise”.

Please excuse the rude word, however it currently describes just how I’m dealing with life right now. Some things this month have been a bit difficult and I’ve had to draw a stop to it, the only thing I can do is remove the person from my life, and the thoughts going through my head, and the above mantra is helping.

After all, it’s just noise. I can’t change others attitude towards me, or their behaviour. They’re not going to change at this late stage in their lives.

However I don’t have to put up with, or listen to, their noise.

And so the Mantra begins again…..:)

Effy’s blog is here and thanks Effy, this has really helped me deal with stuff!

And of course, there’s a song for this: and yes it’s full of that F word! But it’s funny!

Day 21- Did you know? …..

That 77% of people of internet users read blogs?

Or that 55% of people learn via blogs?

Well, they do! So this shows how important blogging can be. Probably for a company, it’s a useful tool (no I don’t really blog on my business site, I find Wix blog unhelpful) but this shows how powerful it can be.

The pen is mightier than the sword it says, and these statistics prove there may be truth in that.

So for us blog along people, weather in business or blogging for pleasure (which I’m doing and finding it really fun) we shouldn’t underestimate what we are doing.

Day 20 – flowers in the garden

Well, I’ve made it to day 20 of blogging every day throughout April.

It’s been really difficult to write something some days but I think that’s normal.

Today the sun came out again, and instead of cute dogs we have lovely flowers 🙂

The Bluebells are starting to bloom :

As are these lovely little purple flowers:

Purple lovelies

It’s great to see the bees on the blossom and the leaves growing. It’s the continuous cycle of life:)

I’ve been shopping!

Ooooh I’ve been to the range!

So it’s a big thing for me, as they’ve revamped the store. There’s more room! We went early and it was empty, and I didn’t freak out!

I bought a bullet journal because I’ve got a big thing to do, and I’m getting into a muddle with it so I hope this helps.

Pencil case contents that came with it!

Also, it was sunny. Cue smiley dog picture:

For those that need to know, the bullet journal was £5:00 – a total bargain!

Hope you’re all having a great day!

Day 18 – music is healing

It’s been a weird day for personal reasons that I don’t really want to air in public.

However, I’ve wandered around singing a song that refuses to leave my head.

It is distracting me which is probably a good thing at this point.

So, I thought I would share 🙂

This is the song enjoy 🙂 try singing along, it’s actually quite difficult.

And just as an aside – here’s the wolf update :

I hope you’re all having a great day!

Day 17 – This and That :)

Today is the first day since 23rd March 2020 that I’ll have been apart from my husband for longer than 2 hours, as he is helping out (socially distanced and safe) at a venue.

I’m excited but strangely nervous. I’ve not been on my own for an extended period of time for over a year. I have jobs to do, and I’m weirdly excited to do them !

I’m also going to do more diamond painting. I’m quite a way through the wolf.

Ethereal wolf so far….

I have even managed to find an app to keep track of all the bead drills and kits so I’ll be adding all the colours to the inventory today:)

I’m hoping it will be warmer than recently, as my husband is working outside. If it is, I’ll be drinking tea in the garden 🙂

I’m also planning to watch Prince Phillip’s Funeral. I do feel sorry for the Queen, she’s been married to him for so long, it must be terrible for her.

I’m also hoping to read a bit more of Big Magic. I was going to buy the audiobook, but it was £27:00 and there’s no way I can afford that!

What are your plans today?

My husband Reg a few years ago in Corfu.

Day 16 – Letter to my teenage self

Dear Cheryl

You’re nicer and stronger than you realise. You can do more than you are told you can. You have the capacity for strength and greatness, you just have to believe in yourself.

Not everyone is on your side. Don’t worry about it, let them learn for themselves, that is their journey.

Sometimes you have to realise family members won’t ever change however many times you try to deal with them. Don’t listen to their negative talk, rise above it and you’ll do more than people think you can.

Lay off the chocolate. In later life you’ll wish you had!

Look after your teeth. Dye your hair whatever colour you like – it’s your life. If your family doesn’t like it, they don’t have to wear it 😀

You will be happy, you’ll go through sh*t, your body will change, your mind will change.

You can do this.❤️

Signed, your older self

Day 15 -Why did you start blogging?

This question comes from yesterday’s prompt list.

I started blogging because it is a challenge. I chose to join Effy Wild‘s blog along because it would kick start me and came at the perfect time. I actually didnt know if I could blog every day, it seems im doing ok at the moment!! (im not counting my chickens just yet).

I am blogging because I enjoy it, and right now, I am enjoying reading all the other blogs (as many as I have time to read – there’s over 300 of us) too, and it creates a mini-tribe of people. This tribe is made up of healers, teachers and tarot people, and artists. I love this eclectic mix of people and their blogs.
